The International Waterlily Collection is open to the public from May to September. It is a great place to spend a few hours exploring the different waterlilies on display. If you love spending time outdoors surrounded by nature, the International Waterlily Collection is the perfect place. This serene and peaceful spot is located in El Paso, Texas, and is home to over 200 different species of waterlilies. The collection was started in the early 1990s by a passionate horticulturist, Mary Miley Theobald. Mary dedicated her life to studying and growing waterlilies, and her work has been featured in publications such as The Water Garden Journal and The Lily Rare and Unusual Varieties. The International Waterlily Collection is open to the public from April through October. During this time, visitors can stroll through the gardens, enjoy the sights and smells of the different waterlilies, and even purchase their own to take home.
